Bachelor of arts degrees in communication, journalism and media studies, and information technology and informatics are conferred jointly by the School of Communication and Information and the faculties of several of the undergraduate schools in New Brunswick. Students enter Rutgers as freshmen through one of the four-year schools at the university, and may then apply to SC&I for a major when they have completed certain requirements.
