22:134:575 Internship Fashion Industry (0) The master of science in the business of fashion internship course is an important chance for students to gain industry experience and supplement their course assignments. This course is a chance for students to develop their skills within the industry and gain exposure to business operations outside of the classroom. Students who are enrolled in this course will be supervised by a faculty member in the business of fashion programs, and will also report to their employer. This course will have a semester-long project requirement, of a capstone nature, and the project will related to finance.
22:134:595 Career Management and Soft Skills for MSBF (0) This course will introduce students to the job search process and the resources provided by RBS Career Management. It is focused on preparing students to become competitive candidates for an internship and/or full-time job. The goal is for students to attain and demonstrate requisite competencies that will prepare them for a successful transition into the workplace.
22:135:500 MBA Part-Time Orientation (0) The orientation sessions for the Part-Time MBA program include required workshops, registration for classes, interaction with faculty and alumni, and other preparation before the first semester. May be conducted partly online.

22:135:518 Fundamentals of Business I (0) This course prepares graduate students in the social sciences, sciences, and arts for jobs in public and private sector organizations by introducing them to the basics of how businesses function. By learning the language of business, students will be able to converse with colleagues, customers, and leaders at work. Interactive lectures, discussion, and in-class exercises convey essential material and enable students to develop proficiency in interpreting and analyzing common business problems and reports.
22:135:583 Career Management Program (0) The Career Management Program (CMP) is a required, noncredit-bearing course for all first-year students in the Full-Time MBA program. It begins in the summer and ends in the fall semester. The CMP introduces students to the career management process for obtaining summer internships in their first year and full-time opportunities in the second year. A satisfactory grade in the CMP is required for participation in the On-Campus Recruiting Program and for meeting the graduation requirements of the Full-Time MBA program.
22:135:635 Independent Study (0) Independent Study is an opportunity for an MBA student to work closely with a full-time faculty member in the Rutgers Business School on independent research or a special project. The student arranges independent study through contact with an individual faculty member who has interests or expertise that match those of the student. Students will earn academic credit by completing a written research project, which is evaluated and graded by the supervised faculty member.
22:430:638 Experiential Learning/Internship (0) International students here on an F visa who have taken two semesters of full-time coursework in the master of financial analysis (M.Fin.A.) program may take Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Given that we are a two-semester program, CPT will be rare. Students who have met the requirements wanting a practical experience can search for a sponsoring employer, who is willing to engage the students and is willing to enter a cooperative agreement with the school. Eligible students can be either paid or unpaid through CPT. Since CPT is not conventional employment, but rather an integral part of an established curriculum, it is for the M.Fin.A. program director to decide if a job offer qualifies for CPT and how many semesters/sessions a student may be approved to participate in a CPT program for his or her curriculum. CPT must be an integral part of an established curriculum, and is defined to be alternative work/study, internship, cooperative education, or any other type of required internship or practicum that is offered. Office of International Student Services (OISS) staff is required by law to certify under penalty of perjury the student's eligibility for employment authorization in SEVIS in order to approve the student to engage in CPT.

Career Management course will introduce students to the job search process and the resources provided by the RBS Career Management. It is focused on preparing students to become competitive candidates for full-time job opportunities in the financial services space. The goal is for students to attain and demonstrate requisite competencies that will prepare them for a successful transition into the workplace.
22:430:698 Summer Intensive Business English (0) Summer Intensive Business English (SIBE) is an immersive leadership development and business English program. The program focuses on strengthening English speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills, while further expanding practical business skills such as professional networking, public speaking/presentations, analyzing business publications, conducting meetings, interviews, negotiations, writing persuasively, and other critical proficiencies. The program will helps prepare students for success in graduate studies at Rutgers University and in their careers. The curriculum is taught during 180 hours of classes taught over six weeks. All international students who have not studied at least two years at a university in an English-speaking country must take SIBE.
22:544:638 M.I.T.A. Internship (0) The M.I.T.A. Internship program is an integral and important enhancement to class lectures, readings, and student assignments. It is designed to provide students practical experience in the IT and analytics field with the opportunity to experience classroom theory in the business environment. The student will work under the supervision of an approved employer within a specific department and will be evaluated by both the employer and the master of information technology and analytics (M.I.T.A.) program director.

22:799:599 MSCA Orientation (0) The master of supply chain analytics (M.S.C.A.) orientation aims to strengthen students' academic and career preparation before they start the program. It focuses on academic preparation (calculus, statistics, and programming) and career preparation (leadership, personal branding, networking events, data certification, etc.). Completing the orientation is part of the degree requirement.

It is designed to provide students practical experience in the supply chain and analytics field with the opportunity to experience classroom theory in the business environment. The student will work under the supervision of an approved employer and will be evaluated by the employer.
22:799:631 MSHAI Internship/Experiential Learning (0) Master of science in healthcare analytics and intelligence students will spend the summer (late May to late August) working on internships related to healthcare analytics. Please work with program director and your employer to document your internship experience if you intend to use the internship to waive the industry client project course requirement.
22:839:638 M.Q.F. Internship (0) The master of quantitative finance (M.Q.F.) Internship program is an integral and important enhancement to class lectures, readings, and student assignments. It is designed to provide students practical experience in the M.Q.F. field with the opportunity to experience classroom theory in the business environment. The types of training may include implementation of trading strategies for equities and currencies, analysis of stocks and bonds, identification of mispriced securities, validation of pricing models for options and other derivative assets, risk analysis and management, and forecast of financial variables. The student will work under the supervision of an approved employer within a specific department and will be evaluated by both the employer and M.Q.F. adviser.
Internships are limited to one per semester not to exceed three internships per student.
22:839:664 Career Management - M.Q.F. (0) Students are guided through a series of lectures, workshops, individual and group activities, and assignments designed to educate, develop, and assist them to successfully navigate the challenging master of quantitative finance (M.Q.F.) profession. The course begins with "understanding your value" as a potential employee and how best to communicate it to targeted employers. From here it moves on to the job search process and then to the many phases of interviewing and ultimately to negotiating compensation. Students will have various opportunities during both semesters to connect with industry participants and network. This course provides tools necessary for students to take ownership of their career and give them the competitive advantage critical to achieving their career goals.
