This is a 14-month master of business administration (M.B.A.) program with a specialization in professional accounting. No previous business or accounting background is required for admission. The curriculum covers the topics included on the Uniform CPA examination. The program is offered at Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs–Newark and New Brunswick's Newark Campus on a full-time basis only, and provides students with opportunities to participate in built-in winter internships with some of the largest public accounting firms in the country.

The M.B.A. in professional accounting program is specifically designed to train graduates holding degrees in the arts and sciences for careers in accounting. The first of its kind in the world, the program integrates management skills with accounting theory and practice. This 65-credit degree includes coursework, teamwork, computer work, case studies, and accounting research projects.

The program begins in late May and concludes in mid-August of the following year.
