Progress Reports

At Rutgers University-Newark, early alerts can be sent by professors to students using the Progress Reports feature of the RU-N4Success software platform (https://run4success.campus.eab.com).

Progress reports offer faculty an opportunity to provide students with feedback on their performance early and midway through the semester, giving students time to take action to improve their academic outcomes. Professors may issue progress reports for students using pre-set concern reasons, or they can indicate "For Advisor Attention" and add comments in an open-text response box. When progress reports are submitted for students, emails are sent to their ScarletMail. Depending on the concern reason, notification also will go to the appropriate campus office.

A progress report is not a final determination of the course grade. With proper advice and sufficient effort, students who receive these reports may be able to bring their performance to an acceptable level. Failure to receive a progress report does not imply that a passing grade will be earned at the end of the semester or term.
