Registration and Course Information

Official admission to one of the colleges or schools precedes registration for courses.

The registration process consists of three steps:

1. The selection of courses with the assistance of an adviser

2. Registration via the Web Registration system: https://sims.rutgers.edu/webreg

3. The payment of tuition and fees for the approved program

The registration process is completed only after full tuition and fees are paid in accordance with billing instructions.

Registration dates for each semester are announced in advance by the Office of the Registrar on the registrar's website: http://registrar.newark.rutgers.edu. New students receive instructions for registration by mail and by email and from the Office of the Admissions upon acceptance to Rutgers. Continuing students receive instructions by email from the registrar. Students seeking reentry must first go to the reenrollment application at https://www.ugadmissions.rutgers.edu/reenrollment. Students seeking reentry must follow deadlines listed on the reenrollment website.

Course information, including grades and transcripts, are available at http://registrar.newark.rutgers.edu. Current students wishing to access grades or transcripts must have an active NetID.  Contact Rutgers Newark Computing Services, Hill Hall, to establish a NetID or visit http://ncs.newark.rutgers.edu/acctmgmt.htm.
