The
College of Nursing believes that professionalism begins with appearance
and behavior. The uniform code is clearly stated and designed to
project a professional image that represents our university to area
hospitals and community settings. Faculty are the ultimate judge of the
students' compliance with the college's standards and are authorized to
dismiss students from the clinical areas until their dress conforms to
the code. Repeated violations should be reported to the associate dean
and may result in termination of the clinical/practicum rotation. In
some instances, agency policies may impose additional restrictions that
must be honored.
