The primary purposes of the College of Nursing are to provide
baccalaureate education for those entering the profession of nursing
and for those registered nurses wishing to obtain a baccalaureate
degree; to provide graduate education at the master's and doctoral
levels; to generate research and scholarly activities in the field of
nursing and health care; to contribute to the improvement of the
delivery of health and nursing services to the public; to
foster and enhance the image of nursing within the university, and more
broadly, to participate actively in projects and activities aimed at
improving the health of all citizens.
