In addition to the standard application, international students must submit the International Student Financial Statement and bank letter(s) verifying financial support. If an international student is transferring from another U.S. college, the student must also submit the International Student Advisors' Report and copies of all previous I-20 forms issued in the international student's name. All Rutgers forms may be downloaded at http://admissions.rutgers.edu by clicking on the "International" link under the "Specific Information For:" tab. Official records (original or certified copies) of all previous secondary and postsecondary education, as well as official English translations of these records, are required. It is recommended that international students obtain a credit evaluation of all college work previously completed outside of the United States, documented by a certified credit evaluation service.
First-year international students must submit SAT or ACT scores. Students whose secondary education was conducted in a language other than English must submit an official score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), unless the student has obtained a grade of B or better in an English Composition class at an accredited U.S. higher education institution.
