Students must complete a leave of absence form available from the Office of Student Affairs. The form must be submitted to the associate dean of student affairs, who will decide prior to the beginning of the term of the intended leave if the leave is granted.
A leave of absence may be granted to a full-time student if such a leave is for extenuating circumstances and seems educationally advisable. The academic record of the student will be considered in the review. An approved leave of absence guarantees that a student may reenter the College of Nursing when space permits. Upon return from a leave of absence, the student must meet the graduation requirements in effect for the class in which he or she will graduate.
