Transfer students who are accepted into the Rutgers Business
School: Undergraduate-Newark have their credits evaluated by a
counselor.
All credits accepted by Rutgers are credited toward
the total 124 credits needed for graduation. However, certain courses
in business, while credited toward the degree, may not be accepted for
specific course requirements in the programs offered by the Rutgers
Business School: Undergraduate-Newark.
The following courses
are accepted if passed with a grade of C or better when the
syllabus or course description indicates the course is equivalent to
that offered at Rutgers.
Introduction to Financial Accounting (1 course)
Introduction to Managerial Accounting (1 course)
Business Law (1 course) (accounting majors particularly)
Introduction to Economics (2 courses)
Statistics (1 course)
Management Information Systems (1 course)
Courses that are deemed by the school to be the equivalent of
Intermediate Accounting I or introductory marketing, management, or
finance may receive program credit if passed with a grade of B or
better.
No more than 30 business, accounting, or economics
transfer credits will be accepted toward completion of a program in the
Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate- Newark. Additionally, at least
30 of the most recently earned 36 business or accounting credits taken
toward the degree must be completed at the Rutgers Business
School: Undergraduate-Newark. Course work that is more than seven years
old will not be considered for transfer.
