After completing the required courses, students may, with the permission of the associate dean for student affairs, engage in independent research projects in any area of the law. Research projects must be under the supervision of a full-time member of the law school faculty. Course credit--up to 3 credits per semester--varies with the amount and difficulty of the work to be completed and is determined after submission of a research proposal and after consultation with the faculty member and the associate dean for student affairs.
