Named after the Roman emperor whose legal code inspired the modern concept of civil law and, indeed, the very spelling of "justice," the Justinian Law Society (JLS) provides a forum for, and increased awareness of, issues of importance to the Italian-American legal community. As a chapter of the National Italian American Bar Association, JLS provides national networking opportunities with Italian-American judges and lawyers, opens doors to summer internships and scholarships, and sponsors numerous academic and social events throughout the school year.
