R.N. to B.S. Students
Students who have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education may be granted credit for general education courses.
Registered nurses who possess a baccalaureate degree in another field may be granted credit for general education courses (direct course equivalencies are not required) with the exception of required prerequisites such as Introduction to Sociology.
Proficiency examinations are offered for any of the lower-division nursing courses. Proficiency examinations may be taken only once. Failure on any proficiency examination requires the student to take the regular course offering. Criteria for successful completion of examinations are based on Rutgers School of Nursing grading policy and standardized test passing levels.
An administrative fee is charged for each proficiency examination.
