The post-master's doctor of nursing practice (DNP) leadership program is designed for nurses on a leadership trajectory across all settings. The program builds on the student's previous MSN program outcomes. This program is designed to incorporate the ongoing changes in the health care system. The Essentials of the Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice, Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL) competencies are embedded in this program. Students completing this program are prepared to take
the leadership certification exam offered through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or AONL. This program is a hybrid program (primarily online with one or two face-to-face classes per course). DNP Project experience hours are obtained
through the development, implementation, and evaluation of the required DNP project.
