Rutgers School of Nursing will accept transfer credits for graduate
courses completed at accredited institutions, for matriculated students
with a grade of B or better. The school will consider applications for
transfer credit if the following stipulations apply:
- The student earned a B or better in the course being transferred.
- Courses not more than seven (7) years prior to request for transfer and are limited to a total of 12 credits.
- Courses are not clinical work.
- The student must be a matriculated student in the master's, D.N.P., or Ph.D. programs.
- When applying for transfer credit(s), a student must obtain
official transcript(s), course description(s), and any additional
documentation (i.e., syllabus, research papers, etc.) needed.
The request for transfer credit form and official transcript(s)
and additional documentation must be submitted to the student's
specialty director for approval. The specialty director then submits all
documents to the academic dean for review and final authorization. When
transfer credits are approved, the Office of the Registrar will record
the transfer credit(s) on the student's transcript.
