This interdisciplinary degree prepares students to create, implement, and evaluate policy and services for urban populations. The degree is offered jointly by the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers University.
The joint doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) program in urban systems examines the complex interrelationships within urban environments, including the social, cultural, political, economic, geographic, organizational, and bioenvironmental factors that influence urban populations.
