Second-Degree Programs


 

The School of Nursing offers a 14-month accelerated bachelor of science degree in nursing program and a part-time program, designed for the student who already possesses a bachelor's degree in another field. Second-degree students will be a part of a group of highly motivated students who are seeking professional advancement and personal fulfillment.


Requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Second-Degree Students


Required prerequisite courses:

Introduction to Sociology

Statistics

Anatomy and Physiology I and II

Organic Biochemistry or General Chemistry II

Microbiology

Nutrition
Life Span: Growth and Development

  • All sciences must be completed with five years of acceptance into the program.
  • A grade if 3.0 is required in the Anatomy and Physiology courses.
  • All other prerequisite courses are required to be completed with a grade of C or better prior to enrollment in this program.
