Post-Master's Certificate Program

The Post-Master's Certificate Program at Rutgers College of Nursing is designed specifically for registered nurses who have a master's degree but did not follow a course of study that led to national certification as a nurse practitioner. The Post-Master's Certificate is offered in the following specialty areas:
  • Acute Care of the Adult and Aged
  • Advanced Practice in Pediatrics
  • Advanced Practice in Women's Health
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Primary Care of the Adult and Aged
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
  • Nursing Education
  • Oncology Nursing

For specific course requirements, refer to theory and practicum courses for each specialty. The offering of specialty courses depends on an adequate cohort of students.
