Public Administration and Management Minor

The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy welcomes students in any Rutgers University-New Brunswick major to investigate our minor programs of study and certificate programs. Bloustein School students are now allowed to major/minor within the school's programs.

Students should declare a minor with their matriculating school; they need not apply for minor status with the Bloustein School. Only courses with a grade of C or better can be counted toward the minor program of study.

MINOR PROGRAMS OF STUDY

501 Health Administration Minor (18 credits)
The minor is well matched to majors in business, economics, human resource management, information technology and informatics, labor studies and employment relations, nursing, organizational leadership, psychology, premed/dentistry, public health, social work, and more.

Students seeking the health administration minor must complete three core courses and three 300-level or higher 501 course code electives, excluding 501:395, 501:450, and 501:499, which are open to majors only.
  • 10:775:101  Introduction to Planning, Policy, and Health (3)
  • 10:775:205  Basic Statistical Methods (4) or equivalent (3-4)
  • 01:220:103  Introduction to Microeconomics (3)
  • Five electives with course code 762, four of which must be upper level (15)
