Instrumental Performance Concentration
Students in the instrumental performance concentration must take the following courses in music theory (25 credits):

Students in the performance concentration must complete a minimum of 33 credits in liberal arts courses (see Degree Requirements) and 10 additional credits of elective courses, for a total of 120 credits required for graduation. All performance students present a recital in the senior year in partial fulfillment of the requirements for graduation. Acceptability of this recital is determined by a faculty jury in attendance.
Vocal Performance Concentration

There are two streams that music education may
follow: vocal/general concentration, which requires 122 total credits for
graduation, and instrumental concentration, which requires a total of 123
credits for graduation.
All music education students must
present a 30-minute recital in the senior year in partial fulfillment of
the requirements for graduation. The total number of requirements for each
concentration includes 30 credits in liberal arts courses. Some of these
credits are satisfied with courses specified for teacher certification. In order for state certification to be
granted, students must pass the
National Teachers Examination.
Jazz Studies Concentration
