The dance department is housed on the Douglass Campus in New
Brunswick. The Nicholas Music Center contains three large dance studios, six
faculty offices, student locker rooms, a student lounge, and the Soma Center, a fully equipped
Pilates, conditioning, and rehabilitation center.
The Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater is a 335-seat proscenium theater
in which students perform works by guest artists and faculty. B.F.A. Senior Concerts
are also presented in Mastrobuono Theater.
The Loree Dance Theater is used for daily ballet and modern
technique classes dance classes as well as for performances by students,
faculty, and visiting guest artists.
Mortensen
Hall, opened in fall 2013, houses Richard H. Shindell Choral Hall; a
large public atrium featuring Café '52, a coffee-and-sandwich bar; and a
technology studio for sound recording and engineering. The building also features
the dance department's administrative offices, the Presser Foundation Practice
Suite for music, and the Kevin Goetz Studio for Theater and Dance.
