Health Administration - School of Arts and Sciences Students
The
health administration major prepares students for entry-level positions
leading to an administrative career path in the health care sector.
Students learn to address administrative and management problems in
long-term and acute care venues, deal with third-party payer and
employment situations, and employ microeconomic theory to justify
management decisions. They learn the regulations related to union, human
resources, and institutional management practices, as well as the
policy and ethical contexts in which administrative decisions are made.
Students in
the School of Arts and Sciences who wish to pursue the health administration
major must apply for admission to the Bloustein School. Applicants must
have achieved a minimum grade of C or better in each of the prerequisite
courses and have be in good academic standing. Applications maybe obtained
from the school's website. Contact undergrad@ejb.rutgers.edu for more information.
Only courses with C or better may be counted towards the health administration major.
There is no minor course of study for health administration. Students interested in a related minor course of study are
