Scholarships

The following scholarships, in varying amounts, are awarded annually to pharmacy students on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Inquiries regarding these scholarships should be addressed to the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy Business Office at 848-445-6255.

Acme Markets Scholarship.  Provides annual tuition assistance to New Jersey students in their last three years who are employed in a community pharmacy setting. Awards based on financial need and academic merit.

New Jersey Pharmacists Association Scholarship.  For students in the professional years; based on academic achievement, financial need, and extracurricular activities.

Harold Blumenkrantz Scholarship.  For full-time students from Monmouth County who are in their professional years. Awards based on academic merit and financial need. Preference given to students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing community pharmacy as a career.

Lucille and Michael Bongiovanni Endowed Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need for students in their professional years of the curriculum.

NJ Women's League/Bowers Memorial Scholarship.  For a third-year student enrolled at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. Scholarship administered jointly with the Women's League of Rutgers University.

John and Josephine Calasibetta Endowed Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial need.

Class of 1934 Pharmacy Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and need.

Ronald I. Cohen Endowed Scholarship.  For students in their professional years. Preference given to students who have an interest in pursuing community pharmacy as a career.

John L. Colaizzi Scholarship.  For students in their final two years; based on academic merit and/or financial need.

David L. Cowen History of Pharmacy Scholarship.

Samuel Cutler Endowed Scholarship.  For full-time undergraduate and graduate students based on merit and financial need.

James R. Croucher/Eli Lilly Endowed Scholarship.  For New Jersey residents exhibiting leadership and community involvement; based on financial need.

CVS/Caremark Charitable Trust.  For students in their professional years; based on academic achievement, financial need, extracurricular activities, and interest in community pharmacy practice.

Martin G. and Marlene Daffner Endowed Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial needs.

Davidson, Davidson & Kappell, LLC Annual Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and/or financial need.

John J. DeBus Memorial Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Delta Sigma Theta Fraternity Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need for students in their professional years.

Anthony J. DeRosa Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Louis T. and Monica M. DiFazio Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need for students in their professional years. Preference given to students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry related to research or the field of pharmaceutics.

Bruce and David Epstein Endowed Pharm.D. Scholarship. For full time students in the professional years based on academic merit and financial need.

Oswald Fechner Endowed Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Louis E. Feinerman Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Alvin Felmeister Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Foxcroft Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship.  For a student in the professional years; based on academic merit, financial need, extracurricular activities, and interest in community pharmacy practice.

Lawrence S. Fromkin Scholarship.  For full-time students in their professional years or part-time, post-B.S. students, pursuing their Pharm.D. Emphasis given to those applicants who are active in pharmacy-related activities/associations at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and/or other professional organizations that are not affiliated with the school.

Hudson County Pharmaceutical Society Endowed Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Stephen and Ruth Lane Endowed Scholarship.   For full-time students in Ocean County in their professional years. Awards based on academic merit, financial need, and interest in pursuing community pharmacy practice.

Gertrude D. Kuebler Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Deborah Lewin Kull Annual Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and/or financial need.

William and Helen Levine Endowed Scholarship.  For students in their professional years.

Walter J. Lewitt Scholarship.  Based on financial need and academic merit. For students in their professional years.

Seymour A. Lubman Memorial Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and/or financial need.

Ernest Mario Endowed Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial need.

Emil P. Martini Sr. Memorial Scholarship.  For a student demonstrating outstanding scholastic achievement, character, and financial need.

Jack Mazer Memorial (Class of 1930) Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial need.

Medco Health Solutions Scholarship.  Awarded annually to a full-time student who excels academically and demonstrates financial need.

Margaret Ryan Murray Scholarship.  For New Jersey residents in the final two years; based on academic merit and financial need.

National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation.  Based on academic merit and/or financial need.

Thomas T. Nevin Memorial Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic achievement, financial need, extracurricular activities, and interest in community pharmacy practice.

Novartis Endowed Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Harold and Betty Perl Endowed Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial need.

Pharmacy Alumni Association Scholarships.  For pharmacy students in their professional years; based on academic achievement, financial need, or extracurricular activities. 

Sumant and Leena Ramachandra Endowed Scholarship.  Preference given to underrepresented minority groups.

Pharmacy Reunion Campaign Scholarship.  Awarded annually based on academic merit and financial need.

Amalia R. and R. Raymond Ricciardi Endowed Scholarship.  For a full-time student; based on academic merit.

Jacob Robbins Memorial Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

John V. Saenger Endowed Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need.

Schering-Plough Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial need.

Eric D. Seifert Memorial Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit and financial need.

Paul Stonehill Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  Based on academic merit, financial need, and interest in pursuing community pharmacy practice.

Supervalue Pharmacies.  For New Jersey residents in their last three years of pharmacy school who are currently employed in a community pharmacy practice. Awards based on financial need and academic merit.

Glenn A. Van Buskirk Annual Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and/or financial need.

Walgreens Diversity Scholarship.  For students in their professional years; based on academic merit, financial need, and involvement with student organizations promoting diversity on campus.

Walgreens Pharmacy Management Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and/or financial need.

Wal-Mart Scholarship Fund.  For students in their professional years; based on academic achievement, financial need, extracurricular activities, and interest in community pharmacy practice.
