Nutritional sciences majors are required to take the following courses before acceptance into an option: 160:161, 162, 171; 119:101, 102; 709:255. A grade-point average (GPA) greater than 2.5 is required in these courses for admission into the dietetics; nutrition; and nutrition, food, and business options. Students with a GPA less than 2.5 are eligible for admission into the community nutrition and food service administration options. Students must achieve grades of C or better in all required biological sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, and nutrition courses in order to enter advanced courses in nutritional sciences.
