Entrance into the exercise science and sport studies major for the three science options is through the applied kinesiology option. Students enter the sport management option directly. To be admitted to the science program, students must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0 and have completed both General Biology courses (01:199:101-102) and Basic Statistics for Exercise Science (01:377:275) or its equivalent with a grade of C or better. To enter the sport management option, students must have completed Sport and Law (01:377:203), Risk Management in Sport Administration (01:377:204), and Basic Statistics for Exercise Science (01:377:275) or its equivalent with grades of C or better. An interview with the department is required prior to admission to the program.
