Students wishing to major in biological sciences must have completed two semesters of general biology, including laboratory, with a grade of C or better in each course. Both semesters of general biology must have been completed either on the same campus at Rutgers (i.e., either New Brunswick, Camden, or Newark; Rutgers Newark requires three courses of introductory biology for science majors) or at a single approved external academic institution.
