Uniforms and equipment are provided to all students enrolled in Army ROTC. They must be returned to the department each semester or as directed by the cadre. As of fall 2004, students enrolled in the basic course receive $300 to $350 and students enrolled in the advanced course receive $450 to $500 as a monthly stipend while attending classes. (Army scholarship recipients receive the stipend and an additional $900 for books per year.) New Jersey Army National Guard members who are also Army ROTC cadets may be eligible for additional benefits.
