A student who transfers from another institution may receive degree credit toward SCILS majors only for those courses that are equivalent in content and credit to courses in the Rutgers curriculum. Ordinarily, courses must be passed with a grade of B or better in order to transfer credit, however, students should check with their undergraduate college and major department since policies may vary.
Transfer credit from another institution is not included in the student`s cumulative grade-point average at Rutgers. Transfer credit is not given for correspondence courses. Students are urged to contact their department to have specific courses evaluated for credit toward the major.
