Matriculation Status

University College-New Brunswick students are designated as either matriculated or nonmatriculated. Students who declare their intention to pursue a degree program are classified as matriculated students. Any student not pursuing a degree program is classified as nonmatriculated. Enrollment in some courses may be restricted to students enrolled in approved degree programs. Academic and administrative regulations apply to both classifications of students. Credits earned as a nonmatriculated student may

not be used to satisfy the college residency requirement.

Ordinarily, a nonmatriculated student may accumulate no more than 30 credits.
