The IEEE History Center is a joint venture between Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
The center supports preservation of and research into the
history of electrical, electronic, and computing sciences and technologies and
their social, political, and cultural contexts, and undertakes education and
public outreach in this area. IEEE also awards an annual fellowship and paper
prize in the history of technology.
