Rutgers Conservatory at Shakespeare's Globe in London gives serious theater artists intensive conservatory training in London under the most accomplished theater artists in the United Kingdom. Through access to the Globe space, master teachers, scholars, and practitioners, this program fulfills the two-fold mission of both Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and Shakespeare's Globe by combining the best of conservatory training in a professional theater of international stature. Acting in London (12 credits each semester). Students study in London for the fall semester of the third year
Design in London (12 credits). Students live and study in the heart of London with world- renowned faculty of master teachers.
Shakespeare's Plays in Context (3 credits per semester). Plays and history are studied with Globe scholars.
British Art and Culture (3 credits per semester). Weekly trips to major cultural, artistic, and historical landmarks including a weekend trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Each week students see both classical and contemporary plays on the London stage, as well as opera, ballet, and fringe performances.
