Mason Gross School of the Arts 2011–2013 Graduate Programs in Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts Program Artistic Dismissal

Artistic Dismissal

An unsatisfactory review may result in probation and may possibly be followed by artistic dismissal from the school's Department of Visual Arts. This decision may be made independently of a student's grades in courses in which they may be enrolled. A student will be advised in writing why he/she is put on artistic probation, what needs to be done to correct it, and the deadline the student has to remedy this situation. In the case of artistic dismissal, the student may appeal to the Mason Gross School of the Arts dean of students. Not passing a review may result in the withdrawal of a teaching assistantship.
