Student Responsibility to Keep Informed

In addition to this catalog, Rutgers Law School rules and regulations are also posted on the school website. Law students are required:
1) to be familiar with Rutgers Law School and Rutgers University rules, regulations, and policies;
2) to read emails and other communications from the university and the law school; and
3) to keep their addresses and other contact information current with the registrar.
From time to time the faculty may promulgate new rules or alter the present rules. Students are considered to be on notice of any changes or additions to these rules once they are approved by the faculty and posted on the website of the Rutgers Law School. The law school will make every effort to notify all students via email of any and all changes. Please note that it is possible that students may be immediately impacted by these amendments, including changes relating to requirements of the juris doctor (J.D.) degree imposed after a student's admission to Rutgers Law School. To the extent permitted, and only in extraordinary cases, exceptions to these rules may be granted by the dean for good cause shown.

All rules are subject to federal and state law, and shall be construed in harmony with the rules and standards of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).
