Scholastic Standing
Scholastic regulations appear in full in Appendix A of the Law School Rules, Regulations, and Policies. Generally, students whose GPA falls below 2.33 are considered not to be in good standing, and may be subject to academic dismissal if their GPA falls below a cutoff determined by their year in law school. In order to graduate, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.33.
Students who fall short of the minimum standards imposed by the law school are required to appear before the Committee on Scholastic Standing. The committee is empowered to determine whether and to what extent academic credit has been earned for the subject semesters.
