Teacher Initiative for MultiAmerica

Teacher Initiative for MultiAmerica (TIMA) is a student organization designed to bridge the gaps between students, alumni, faculty, teachers and schools. This organization was developed as a direct response to the diverse student population in New Jersey schools and the mismatch between the student and teacher populations. Among TIMA's goals are planning activities to help prepare educators to think more critically about issues of equity and justice in our public schools and recruiting more diverse future teachers into the GSE programs. Through recruitment, discussions, and special events, educators can begin to broaden their perspectives and teaching practices to meet the needs of all students in MultiAmerica.
