The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Computer Education (CMSCE) brings together the expertise of individuals from many disciplines, within and outside the Graduate School of Education, to contribute to the achievement of educational excellence. The center offers in-district embedded professional development as well as workshops at the CMSCE Digital Teaching and Learning Lab and one-to-one technology training. The center has particular expertise in designing and providing professional development opportunities in mathematics, science, and engineering education. Our facilitators are highly qualified and have received such honors as Google Certified Instructor, SMART Certified Teacher, Promethean Interactive Board Facilitator, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Instructor. We are on the forefront in the use of videoconferencing in the education community as well as 21st-century technology tools. With the support of federal and state grants, we have formed partnerships with school districts throughout New Jersey. We also conduct initiatives such as 21st-Century Learning, Family Math and Family Science Institutes, Reading Across New Jersey, and Reading Across the Atlantic.
