As
graduate students, we recognize that we hold a position of privilege.
We acknowledge that with the precept "do no harm" comes an equally
important impulse to work toward healthier people and healthier
communities. As a student group, we recognize that education is an
important piece of critical engagement and that action and advocacy are
also required. We aim to be not only responsible citizens, but
responsible psychologists. That practice begins as students. As
students, we believe in improving access to mental health resources for
students and community members and providing a forum for discourse
surrounding pressing mental health issues. We provide a space for
students to discuss and engage with current events and larger social
issues within clinical practice. Our understanding of human psychology
propels us to affirm the inherent value, dignity, and human rights of
every person.
