The rules of the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology
(GSAPP) governing scholastic standing—including policy statements on
academic probation, dismissal, and readmission—may be found in the
GSAPP Student Handbook of Policies and Procedures.
Each program annually monitors the academic and practitioner progress
of all students. Any of the following requires the faculty to consider
a student's possible termination from the school: three grades of C,
Incomplete (which have not been remediated to completion), or No
Credit; failure to pass the comprehensive examination; consistent
inability to meet practitioner requirements as evidenced by faculty or
supervisors' evaluations; or inability to carry out a dissertation.
