Differentiation among Programs

There are three doctoral degree programs: clinical pscyhology, organizational psychology, and school psychology. Only two--clinical and school--are accepting new applications. 

Students enrolled in the Psy.D. in clinical psychology program concentrate largely on theory and practice in clinical psychology. Training in research constitutes a secondary focus in the program. Students in this program generally plan careers that primarily involve service in a clinical setting.

Students enrolled in the Psy.D. in school psychology program concentrate on provision of psychological services in educational settings as their primary career focus.  Training in research is provided to support understanding of excellence in professional practice. The program is administratively housed in the Department of Applied Psychology.
