THREE-YEAR, 72-CREDIT DUAL-DEGREE PROGAM (36 M.C.R.P. and 36 M.P.P.)

Note that this is a savings of 24 credits compared to earning the 48-credit M.C.R.P. and M.P.P. degrees separately. Each degree program effectively accepts 12 credits from the other program; only one set of methods courses are necessary (Methods I, II) but should be taken within the same program. A third methods course is required, and may be chosen from several options. The third methods choice and all flight paths should be approved by the faculty adviser and originating program director.

Public Policy Masters (M.P.P.): 24 credits of core courses; 12 credits of concentration or elective courses, and the remaining 12 credits are UP courses that get transferred toward the M.P.P. degree

Urban Planning Masters (M.C.R.P.): 24 credits of core courses, 12 credits of concentration or elective courses, and the remaining 12 credits are PP courses that get transferred toward the M.C.R.P. degree

Concentrations are available in community development, transportation, environment, and energy, among others. A sample model flight path is outlined below, but can be modified based on individual needs.

ADMISSION AND DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

Admission to the dual M.C.R.P./M.P.P. degree program is highly selective and requires simultaneous, separate applications to, and acceptance by, each program. Part-time study plans are individually arranges to suit a student's particular circumstances; however, completion time is greatly extended.
