It is recommended that students minoring in women's and gender studies take Introduction to Women's Studies (50:988:201) before they begin to take electives. The Senior Seminar in Women's Studies (50:988:441) is required during the senior year. Special arrangements can be made for evening students interested in completing the minor. An individualized major with a concentration in women's and gender studies can be developed by a student in consultation with the director of the program and with the approval of the Academic Policy Committee. In order to achieve the objectives of the program, the minor requires a minimum of 18 credits from among the list of courses (or other relevant courses that are approved by the program director). At least 6 credits of the departmental courses must be at the 300 level or above, and no more than 6 credits can be from one single department.
