The Department of Political Science offers a wide range of courses that students have found useful in preparation for careers in law, government service, and public affairs, as well as for graduate studies in political science and public policy. The department curriculum is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of politics and government in the United States, foreign countries, and the international system. Courses are equally valuable for career-oriented majors and for students interested in developing a well-rounded liberal arts background.
