Major Requirements


Majors must take six core curriculum courses, plus six urban studies-related courses from the approved list of electives, for a total of 36 credits. Only grades of C or better across all 36 credits will count toward fulfillment of the major requirements; at least 15 credits must be take at Rutgers. Courses used to satisfy core curriculum requirements may not be counted again as electives.

The core curriculum is comprised of two introductory courses, two policy courses, one institutions, organizations, and leadership course, and one methodology course.
