In order to receive credit for this minor, students are required to take 18 credits of coursework. These credits should be distributed according to the following guidelines:
1. World Masterpieces I is mandatory for the minor.
2. No more than 6 credits may count toward the minor from courses at the 100 level.
3. While it is advisable for students to take Latin 101 and Latin 102 as their 100-level credits, neither Latin nor Greek is required to satisfy the minor requirements.
4. At least 9 credits must correspond to courses at the 300 level or higher.
5. In addition to World Masterpieces I, students may count another 3 credits (one class) toward both the classical studies minor and another major or general requirement.
