Our degree program prepares students to aid in the recovery of
people living with mental health conditions. The BS in Psychiatric
Rehabilitation Solo degree is a degree completion program geared towards
students with an Associate degree in human services, health professions, or the
arts and sciences. Students obtain their general education courses from their
Associate degree program and complete their Bachelor degree credits at Rutgers
University School of Health Professions.
Through
intensive coursework and field experience, students learn the skills to help
people with mental health conditions live independently. Graduates are prepared
to practice psychiatric rehabilitation in both group and individualized
settings, helping people gain access to resources needed to successfully
integrate into the community. Our graduates have a 100% pass rate on the CPRP
national credentialing exam. They become case managers, residential counselors,
employment specialists and wellness specialists.
