Minor in Biology


After a student declares his or her minor at the Department of Biological Sciences, an adviser will be assigned. Then, to complete the minor the following requirements need to be fulfilled.

The biology minor requires a minimum of 22 credits and includes the following courses:

21:120:101-102 General Biology (4,4)

21:120:301 Foundations of Biology: Cell and Molecular Biology (3) and

21:120:302 Foundations of Biology Laboratory (1)


One course from each of the first three clusters (a-c) of courses in section 3 listed in the

description of the biology major in this catalog (9 to 12 credits).
