About the School of Public Health

**UPDATE** Please note we are not accepting applications to the Dr.P.H. degree program for the 2018-2019 academic year as we revise the Dr.P.H. curriculum. The Ph.D. degree program is accepting applications.

The Rutgers School of Public Health provides an exceptional, high-quality education that is accessible, affordable, and designed to accommodate both working professionals and full-time students. The school offers four degrees: master of public health (M.P.H.); master of science (M.S.) in biostatistics; M.S. in health outcomes, policy, and economics (offered jointly with the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy); and doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in public health; as well as a number of dual degrees and post-baccalaureate certificates. With educational opportunities offered in New Brunswick and Newark, the school is conveniently accessible across the state.

There are several concentrations, including biostatistics; environmental and occupational health; environmental health sciences; epidemiology; global public health; health outcomes, policy, and economics; health systems and policy; occupational safety and health; public health nutrition; social and behavioral health sciences; and urban public health. Students have opportunities to participate in leading public health research and can put their public health education into practice through participation in the school's community service projects. Numerous continuing education opportunities for public health professionals are also available.
