The course is designed to provide experiential and analytical opportunities for students in the nonprofit sector. As such it will focus on developmental and career issues that are relevant to leadership development in this sector especially the health care and governmental environments. The course goals are to expose students to the concepts related to emotional intelligence and related behaviors; to develop personal analytical skills of character and leadership development as understood through fiction literature; and to employ and develop their conceptual abilities applying the literature analyses to the experiential presentations by leaders in the nonprofit sector.
