Doctor of Public Health (Dr.P.H.) Curriculum (72 Credits) - Department of Environmental and Occupational Health

Students seeking the Dr.P.H. in environmental and occupational health degree must complete a minimum of 72 credits of academic work with an average grade of B or better. Courses are 3 credits unless otherwise noted.

CORE COURSES (15 credits)

  • PHCO 0501 - Health Systems and Policy
  • PHCO 0502 - Principles and Methods of Epidemiology
  • PHCO 0503 - Introduction to Environmental Health
  • PHCO 0504 - Introduction to Biostatistics (Prerequisite: Quantitative Skills Assessment)
  • PHCO 0505 - Health Education and Behavioral Science in Public Health

FIELDWORK (6 credits)
If student does not have a prior M.P.H. degree, or equivalent fieldwork experience (but credits do not count toward degree requirement).
