Doctor of Phlosophy (Ph.D.) Program

The doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) program in public administration at Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) is a research degree. It trains students for careers as scholars, researchers, and teachers in the diverse and dynamic field of public management and administration.

Areas of possible specialization are varied but include public management, public budgeting and finance, human resource management, comparative public administration, experimental and behavioral public administration, and intellectual and legal foundations of public administration.
